To obtain a CDL license in Florida, drivers are required to pay $75 for either a new CDL or to renew their current CDL. If the driver is adding any endorsements to their CDL certification, each endorsement will cost an additional $7. There are also knowledge exam retests as well as skill exam retests available for drivers, which cost $10 and $20, respectively.

The training for CDL classifications will be a bit more expensive, with most drivers spending between $3,000 and $7,000 to attend an independent CDL program, or a bit less if they receive the training from a community college.
